12V to BS2

I connected a wall transformer to a BS2 through the battery clips. The stamp would not work. The trans was putting out 11.7 V Must be too much for the stamp. Hooked up a 9V trans and it took off just fine.

Are you sure it was a 'DC' transformer, and not an 'AC' transformer? It's true, the BS2 will NOT work on AC.
