I was wondering if anyone knew of a source for small solenoid valves?
The size would be 1/8" barbed tube connections, used with liquids and operate on 12 or 24VDC and not cost arm and a leg.

A quick Google search using "small solenoid valves" (leave the quotes in) produced lots of hits.
The first on I found that looked good was

fins.actwin.com/aquatic-plants/month.9805/msg00320.html (http://fins.actwin.com/aquatic-plants/month.9805/msg00320.html)

No doubt there are others.

May I ask what you are going to do with this/these?

Thanks but the source at Marlin P. Jones has dried up. I found a manufacture but they might turn out to be a little too pricey for the project budget. I'm looking for them for a friend's project. He wants to be able to control small bursts of water with a PIC type controller.

This is the type of valve that we had in mind:
Solenoid valve from Jameco.com (http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=169834&pa=169834PS)
They have both RoHS and non-RoHS compliant types. Now to find out if they'll handle fluids.
