Reading USB from the BS2 BOE

i know that BS@ and USB both run at a +5 volt regulated power so i figured why couldnt i run somthing from usb through the bs2? can i get some data from a xbox controller possibly or maybe even a mouse? anythoughts on this would be very helpful!

thanks for the link its alot of information to go over, alot of links that i migt miss too it could take hours on end just to answer one simple question that im guessing is impossible or i would see it more often on these forums >.<
