im not sure how these work, i read the data sheet but if im assuming correctly this could be a fun little toy :) from what im gathering i could hood a wire to anything at all and it will use that to broadcast a signal and see if somthing is near it? seems good for sumobot applications! anyways straighten me out if im incorrect please!

· I think they're supposed to be used in touch-switch applications in place of (mechanical) buttons and so on.· I don't think the intent was for use in object-avoidance, if that's what you're figuring.· One connects the sense terminal to a "touch-pad" (some metallic disk or similar.)
· It doesn't "broadcast a signal", it senses a capacitance (or a change in capacitance.)·
