Parallax Oscilloscope trigger when not active window?

I have an application that I am using to send a signal to COM1.

I am using the Parallax Oscilloscope to monitor.· (The USB Driver is set to COM3)

I am not able to capture the signal on the OScope when the other application is open.

Does the Oscope stop capturing when it is not the active window?· If it does, is there anyway around this?· I would like to be able to monitor what I am sending.

Nevermind...

The first thing I need to do is make sure the Oscope is monitoring the right RS-232 Cable...and not the one that is just laying there not connected to anything.
