I have BS2sx that is standing in an open room taking temperature and humidity values. Those values are reported to a recieving unit (another BS2sx) with an RF reciever. The information that goes into the BS2sx is being read through the COM port into a MSAccess database.
Right now the receiver is right next to the computer, and I can use the programming cable. In the future, I want to have the receiver out in the room. This means that 200 ft of cable needs to connect the receiver to the computer. 200 ft is a bit much for the RS232, so we tried taking RS422/RS232 Converters and putting one at the computer end and one at the receiver end.
Any ideas as to why I would not have any communication going on?
