Can you have the SpeakJet working at the same time BS2 sends midi out?

Hi,

I am planning to use the SpeakJet with the BS2. I was wondering though could it perform other operations simulatneously? Like also send midi messages out at the same time?

Tony,

·· The BASIC Stamp is a single-tasking microcontroller.· While it's sending serial data out to MIDI it cannot send data to another device at the same time.· If the SpeakJet receives the commands to talk and talks while the BASIC Stamp goes on to send MIDI data out, then you could sort of simulate that effect.
