View Full Version : GSM/GPRS Integrated on a chip

Hello everyone!

I know that this isn't really a Basic Stamp question (although I'll probably use it together with one) but this is the best place I know of to ask these questions so I'll do it anyway :) What I want to know is if somebody knows of some kind of chip / appmod / board that has a GSM chip onboard and that supports GPRS? Kinda like this bluetooth appmod: www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=30068 (http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=30068) but instead of BT use GSM. I need this because I'm going to place the basic stamp in a quite remote place and then continuously send data to a server. The cheapest way to do this here in Sweden is through GPRS but I don't want to connect a real cellphone to the Stamp.

Any suggestions?
