Hi All;

I was wondering whatever has become of Old man Earl. Last time I saw him was at UPEW in 2010, and had heard that he went to Haiti to help with relief operations after their earthquake disaster. However, not a peep since then. Does anyone know ??

I used to enjoy his contributions.

Cheers,

Peter (pjv)

Peter, I've been wondering the same thing. Another forumista who's been conspicuous by his absence of late is Carl Hayes.

He's been pretty active over at DiyDrones.com (http://www.diydrones.com/forum/topics/legands).

Last entry there, Oct. 15, 2011.

We miss him. And Carl also.

Thanks, Publison;

I was concerned by his sudden diappearance, but am glad to hear he's OK.

The more we get older (67 for me), the more I realize we are mortal...... not a fun realization

Cheers,

Peter (pjv)

Good to hear that Earl is still around. I was following his thread using Sparkfun 6 dof board, in his UAV project. Unfortunately, I have experienced health issues recently, and am now trying to pick up from where I left off. Guess Diydrones is a more suitable site for UAV projects, so I'll try and track him down there.

I'm glad he is OK.

My wife and I both missed him at the last two UPEW's.

It looks like he's been quite active! Glad to hear he's doing well.. Maybe we'll get him to check in with this thread...
