A driver object for the Micromega uM-FPU64 with 2-wire SPI connection has been uploaded to OBEX.

The demo focuses on 64-bit integer and float operations.

Nicely done. That was a good amount of work.
My chip is still in the mail. Can't wait to try the demo.
Thanks!

I'm very interested in using this! Is there a recommended place to get this chip from?
Also how important are the capacitors? Not sure where to get the 6u2 Tant.
Thanks,
Keith

roughwood:
Look at Micromega Corporation web site.
Parallax sells the 32-bit uM-FPU version 3.1. That would be a good start. Most of the code is transferable from v3.1 to v64.
Between 4.7 and 10 uF any good quality tantalum or ceramic will do. (According to manual.)

Istvan

It looks like you can buy them directly from Micromega (http://micromegacorp.com/wheretobuy.html)($24.95 each). There is a $15 shipping fee.
I'd think they'd be showing up at Parallax or SparkFun soon.
Thank you Istvan for writting this object. I look forward to buying a chip and trying it out.
