Hello all,

I am happy to announce that I am working on a 2012 Parallax Calendar!

We would like to hear your recommendations for BASIC Stamp or Propeller-based projects that would be suitable for use in the calendar. I need 12 great projects/groups/applications/etc. Just reply to this thread with a link to your project(s) of choice.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers, Jen J.

I think the Automatic Chicken Door Opener is a nice project using the BASIC Stamp http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?129967-Automatic-chicken-door-opener.

How about a balance bot BS2.Using a memsic 2125,HB25's and a PID Loop.Maybe even with a Lisy 300 gyro.Its that easy-what I always hear.
I'd also like some more using the 433mhz trancievers, bs2 based servo control.I know of the tilt boe lesson but Its not clear on using the Trancievers and code adjustment.
Same for the xbees.more easy tutorials.
Some bs2 based even propeller based projects using a http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB0QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rcsys.com%2FDownloads%2Fv-stamp.pdf&ei=Usd4TsCQOMXy0gH_sf3vCw&usg=AFQjCNGvb8sDELjajYnT1-tyGwmm5HmTAg
v stamp.
ooo..an android os project
or a dremmel cnc

I thought you were asking for projects to do through out the year my bad.LOL

What? no photos of dogs and cats?

The Japanese corporations all have to publish two calendars - one is very corporate and the other is .... very interesting. You have to ask for the second one.

I nominate the Beverage Delivery System, if it has not been already featured in a previous calendar: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?122809-Beverage-Delivery-System&highlight=beverage
It has to be the coolest project I've ever seen.

And, of course, I have to agree with Publision and nominate my own project. :) (Thanks Publision!!)

Though the CMUcam, Laser range finder, PropBOE, etc. are cool, I think the best nominees for this would be complete projects, not just Dev modules.

There is also my S2 mod, Internal Pen Lifter (http://www.savagecircuits.com/forums/showthread.php?433-S2-Internal-Pen-Lifter).

Since my recent Google fiasco, the W9GFO YouTube account and all it's videos are lost. I will need to upload them to a new account.

I thought the WetBird 9000 was rather cool & non-conventional:

I guess its okay to promote one's own projects? Something a little different. I was in Mexico last week working on this with an NGO there that promotes the use of efficient biomass stoves that are alternative to traditional 3-stone hearths. The stove chimney is fitted a unit that has a propeller, ADC, RTC and thermocouples, TEG powered, and it logs summary statistics about temperatures. The reader comes by every few days or weeks, and makes XBee contact with the stove units and stores their data onto an SD card.

This would be a great one if they have the PropBoe announced before the calendar goes out. What a great way to showcase four Parallax items!!

Nice work on the PID routine. :)

Sadly, we have decided that we will not be printing a 2012 Parallax calendar. I apologize for the disappointing news. I was looking forward to creating it.
