My propeller and the need to use the MCP32016 with a VDD at 3.3 Volts so that the I2C bus is at 3.3V and not 5V. My concern is the RC oscillator. When calculating the frequency and as far as I know its as simple as 1 / (2 * pie * R * C). This should be okay with a VDD at 3.3 volts right am I over thinking the Resistor?

Thanks in advance.

The MCP23016 should work just fine at 3.3V and at 5V with the recommended R and C values. The datasheet recommends a particular resistor and capacitor value and makes no distinction between different supply voltages.
