Any way to use FSRW with spi flash chip?

This may sound like a silly question....
But, I have an app where there may not be enough room for an actual SD card, but I see there are lots of SPI flash chips around...
Any chance that FSRW could work with a chip?

There's a driver in the Object Exchange called Winbond_Driver that creates a simple file system on an SPI flash memory. It also allows use of SPI SRAMs like the 23K256, but not as part of the file system.

I don't know much about your application, but uSD cards are pretty small. They are only a little bigger than a 8 pin DIP chip(Of course with the adapter they might be a little bigger)....Just a thought.
