View Full Version : Best FTDI circuit for Propeller?

I'm working with the FTDI232RL and the Prop. I've done a proto and everything is checking out - I implemented it in the same way the DLP-Prop (http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/EvaluationKits/DLP-PROP.htm) implements it. But I wanted to get a second opinion on the FTDI portion of the circuit;

I'm not sure what causes reset problems on the FTDI circuit on the Protoboard, but will this circuit have the same problems?

You may want to consider adding an SN74LVC2G07 inline with Rx/Tx to remedy the reset issues. See the following thread for details.

An inexpensive alternative is a jumper on DTR, which could be removed when not programming.
