Any projects involving same?

Not sure if anyone as done it but it has been discussed here. Consensus seems to be "What's the point?" and "Just use an SD card".

IDE is going to eat a lot of valuable pins and code space.

For me, the past is not over yet.

Here is a propeller connected to a harddrive (at least once it was a harddrive).

I made a propeller ATA interface card from an SX52 protoboard that works pretty well at running IDE hard drives.

It's not really a "project" with a defined purpose; it's more for entertainment than anything else.

It's still very much under development, partly as I just realized within the past few days that the same interface should be able to read CDs and DVDS, so I've been adding CDROM enhancements to its code (but without any success so far).

I was thinking about implementing SATA recently, but I discarded this idea after a while.
What about creating a PCI bus object for the next generation of propeller chips?
