It is not available. Parallax will sell you a pre-programmed PIC16C57 for about $12.
Parallax makes a lot of information and software available for free, but not the PBasic
interpreter, not the source of the editor nor the documentation for the interpretive code.

You can use any device/program that is used on other pic chips. You just won"t have a Basic Stamp

Microengineering Labs sells a PICBASIC compiler. The regular version is comparable to the BS1 in terms of things it can do and the Pro version is comparable to the BS2. I have a copy and have used it in the past for projects where a Stamp couldn't be used (because of size, cost, number of pins, speed, etc.) As Franklin indicated, it's not the same as a Basic Stamp, but it's a well done mature product.
