Hi All,

ии Maybe I am crazy but I thought I saw something about how to add more I/O pins for BS2 in some post awhile back, but I did a search and could not find anything. Is there a IC that would allow you to do this?

Thanks In Advance

Take a look at the 74HC595 and 74HC597 for output and input.

Do you have any sample code using those?

There are all sorts of ways to add I/O pins. There are several Nuts and Volts Columns on I/O Expansion (www.parallax.com/Resources/NutsVoltsColumns/tabid/272/Default.aspx (http://www.parallax.com/Resources/NutsVoltsColumns/tabid/272/Default.aspx)). Try Column #79 and #85 for I2C I/O Expanders. The StampWorks Manual discusses the use of the 74HC595 for output expansion and the 74HC165 for input expansion (www.parallax.com/Store/Microcontrollers/BASICStampModules/tabid/134/txtSearch/stampworks/List/1/ProductID/144/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName%2cProductName (http://www.parallax.com/Store/Microcontrollers/BASICStampModules/tabid/134/txtSearch/stampworks/List/1/ProductID/144/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName%2cProductName) Experiments #23 and #24). All of these include schematics and sample code.
