Driving -5v to +5v

Good afternoon guys.

I am in need to have a DAC such as LTC7541 drive a voltage that would vary from -5v to +5v.
So basically -5v ... 0 ... +5v

I can't seem to get my head around how this would be accomplished. Each way I think about it, I feel there must be a short which would be way wrong.

Do any of you know what this type of circuit would be called or of any examples?

Might be easier to use a 0-5V DAC and then an OPAMP to double and shift the voltage...

Did you look at the last figure of the datasheet? If you look at the table it swings the voltage from -Vref to Vref, so if Vref = 5 the voltage swing would be -5 to 5.

I just looked and I think that's with some Opamps added to the outputs, right?

Well, don't I feel silly. There is an example right on the Datasheet.

Bipolar... gotta remember that.

Trying to drive a Laser Scan head (Galvo·Galvanometer). Hoping to make a nice·laser projector with the Propeller chip. Wish me·luck :)
