deSilva, Prop won't work without PLL in CON statement

Thanks for your reply to my battery post. I removed the PLL1x from _clkmode line and although the Prop took reprogramming O.K., none of the Methods work.
Here is new CON:

CON·
· _clkmode=xtal1
· _xinfreq=5_000_000

Weird.
Also noticed that when the PLL statement was in, I could run the Prop. Methods·using 2x, 4x and 8x but not on 16x.

Yes, weird. I should now try to exchange
(a) the crystal
(b) the Propeller
to find out which of them has a problem...

The bootstrap uses no crystal but runs with the internal 12 MHz RC oscillator
